FNCA of Greeks of Russia

Federal national and cultural autonomy of Greeks of Russia is a social organization, which introduces interests of 100 000 ethnic Greeks, living on the territory of Russian Federation. FNCA of Greeks of Russia nowadays consists of 6 regional and 32 local national and cultural autonomies. This organization was founded March 4, in 2011. Before the organization was registered, the activity of Greek diaspora of Russia had been realized by Interregional social organization Association of Greek social communities (then as AGSC). Asset of FNCA of Greeks of Russia is an asset of AGSC at the same time, without separating itself by formal feature.

The history of modern Greek community

The beginning of modern Greek community began in July 1992, when first congress of Greek communities of Russia was held in Mineralnie Vody (Stavropol region). Communities of Stavropol, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachaevo-Cherkesia, Krasnodar region took part at that congress. Federation of communities of Russia with the Chairman Macukatov Yakov was established there.
Ivan Savvidi is an active President, who was elected on June, 21 in 2015 in Rostov on Don.

Structure of Greek association

Federal national and cultural autonomy of Greeks of Russia (FNCA of Greeks of Russia) is a social organization, which introduces interests of 100 000 ethnic Greeks, living on the territory of Russian Federation. FNCA of Greeks of Russia nowadays consists of 6 regional and 32 local national and cultural autonomies.

The governing bodies:

Congress is a supreme authority of organization (is convened every four years).
Council is a governing authority of organization in the period between congresses.
President implements total governance of activity.

Youth Council

Youth Council of Greeks of Russia consists of 16 young and active Greek representatives all over Russia. The first Youth Council was held in Rostov-on-Don, 2008. From the 2015 year Youth Council was headed by Evgeniya Popova, Rostov-on-Don. Now functioning members of Council were chosen on a reporting and election congress on June 21, in 2015 in Rostov-on-Don.
